Katelyn,
You are such an inspiration! I do not have the words to express my feelings about everything I learned. I am still integrating the entire experience on several levels. You are simply terrific.
Thank you.
In Joy,
Helen

Dear Kate,
Thank you so very much for the Clinic—it was all I could've hoped and so much more. It is such a joy to see people (YOU) working with Horses (and other beings) who feel that the only thing that is important is Relationship & Trust-if you don't have that, you have nothing. Amazingly enough, I guess this is true for people too, which is one reason that I'm still looking. I've been to tons of Clinics and presentations over the years, in spite of the fact that because of my "Day Job", I can no longer have animals (I travel a ton). You were able in one brief (ok, a little longer than brief, it was hot) session to clearly demonstrate and more importantly, articulate with easy understanding, the concepts that you live with these amazing beings. The Clinic and you are truly a blessing. I'll be forever grateful to Tracy for the introduction (I'm so grateful to her for so many things, that the list just grows & grows). As you said, this is the tip of the iceberg, but if more Horse People could see the tip, the oceans would be a lot safer. Thanks Again!
Love & Many Blessings,
Tom
As a Licensed Psychotherapist in 3 states with a specialty in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy(certified through EAGALA), I have met many, many horse trainers. Now, as a first time horse-mother, finding the right trainer was essential. I needed a horse professional who would understand the unique needs of a therapy horse and her therapist mother. We needed a trainer who would be willing to understand where we both are and how to move us forward so we can be the best therapy team possible. This was a huge request. Since I had never been a horse guardian before and my Thoroughbred mare is one of those "highly sensitive horses", and I am one of those "highly sensitive humans", there were a lot of variables.
Katelyn Kent was able to meet my request and needs in ways that I could not have even imagined would be possible. Her unique approach enables her to meet the needs of horse and human on all levels, including psychological, physical, emotional and spiritual.
At first, she assesses the situation and then she creates a dynamic plan( that can change as needed) for the human and the horse.
Her approach helps the Horse Human team to communicate and connect with each other in ways that literally seemed impossible before Katelyn arrived on the scene. Harmony, my horse has gone from being extraordinarily nervous around training to now responding to mine and Katelyn's cues before we even get to expressing them with our bodies. Katelyn Kent is simply the BEST! Her horse expertise is equally matched by her psychological awareness of horse and human needs. You will be giving yourself and your horse a gift that just keeps on giving. It not only meets the needs you and your horse have, it affects your life in all areas. Now that is a perfect example of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy: Being with your horse, learning to communicate and having the experience change your life. Thank you Katelyn for helping horses re-gain their position in the circle of life as an essential teacher who is here to save our planet.
